Rental advice in The Hague

Published

The Municipality of The Hague has recently set-up a Rental Helpdesk to provide tenants and landlord in the private rental sector with free information and advice. They have positioned themselves as the first point of contact for matters such as contracts, permits, and issues between tenant and landlord. Expats and internationals can also contact them if they need advice.

Individual tenants can contact the Rental Helpdesk for:

  • Rental price and rental contract
  • Maintenance and sustainability
  • Housing permit
  • Issues or conflict with your landlord

Landlords in the private sector can contact the Rental Helpdesk for:

  • Rental price
  • Agreements with the tenant
  • Permits
  • Maintenance of your lease property
  • Report nuisance cause by tenants
  • Making your lease property more energy efficient

For both tenants and landlords, the Rental Helpdesk will work with you to determine the next steps to take. And if necessary, put you in touch with specialists.

You can contact the Rental Helpdesk or make an appointment by phone: +31 70 353 99 31.
Or visit the website (in Dutch) for more information.
