The Hague International Centre is looking for a Project Coordinator Events & Marketing

Do you want to help international newcomers feel at home in The Hague region? Join The Hague International Centre as project coordinator for marketing, communication and events. You will help organise the Feel at Home fair in November and other welcome events to help newcomers settle in. And help improve our new website. A great entry-level position as well! 

What will you do?  

Every week the communications team has a week-start meeting to discuss our weekly tasks.  

The position for a project Coordinator Events & Marketing includes the following tasks:  

Coordinating communication projects: 

  • Content creation, retrieving suggestions and coordination for translation of our website and information books including distribution within and outside the Municipality, 

  • Coordination of design and print (outsourced),  

  • Coordination of the Ambassadors Program (Ambassadors of The Hague International Centre), 

  • You are able to replace the content specialist of The Hague International Centre and therefore have a quick pen and a little experience with Google Ads, SEO, conversion optimization, social media, analytics. 

Managing events: 

  • Create our events plan, 

  • Manage event topics with and among our speakers,  

  • Coordinate internal and external communications 

  • Be present for event management/possibly hosting 

  • For the new fair that we are organizing; manage the entire organization; create an exhibition plan, programming of the speakers, approaching exhibitors, making appointments with the event location, arrange catering, etc. 

Our forthcoming events can be found on our website. We organize webinars for newcomers, the Feel at Home Fair, welcoming events and themed events with our partners. We also organize an annual event for all of our partners.

What are our requirements? 

  • You are creative and energetic, and you are interested in the field of communications, marketing, PR and events.  

  • You are both a thinker and a doer, a self-starter with excellent communication skills, who is result-oriented and always looking for opportunities to improve.  

  • You are fluent in English (C2 to native level) and Dutch (A2/B1 level). 

  • Experience in the events and communication field is a plus. 

  • You have an education at HBO/WO level, preferably in a relevant field such as International Business, International Communication Management or European Studies.

The Hague International Centre is the point of contact for international staff of organisations and companies in The Hague, Delft, Leidschendam-Voorburg, and Rijswijk. We offer information and guidance about living and working in The Hague region. We also  

take care of formalities such as municipal registration, citizen service number (BSN), and issuance of residence permits. We do this in close collaboration with our partners ACCESS and the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND).
