A new season of contemporary dance in The Hague!
Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is welcoming audiences back for its 2026–2027 season, bringing a new programme filled with contemporary dance to The Hague.
Based in The Hague, Nederlands Dans Theater is an important part of the city’s international cultural landscape. Its productions bring together dancers, choreographers and creative professionals from different countries and backgrounds, while attracting audiences from the Netherlands and abroad. For more than 65 years, experimentation has been central to NDT’s identity shaping the company’s approach to developing and performing contemporary dance.
This new season, NDT continues the tradition with a program built around curiosity, openness and artistic risk, while remaining connected to the legacy that has defined the company for decades. This season invites you to immerse yourself in some of the most compelling voices in contemporary dance today, artists who carry the legacy forward while forging new ground. There is something for everyone: whether you have followed NDT since their beginnings, are discovering dance for the first time, or find yourself somewhere in between. Across the season, you will encounter works of striking power and beauty, playful and poetic, refined, and deeply human.
The 2026–2027 season brings together some internationally distinctive artists in contemporary dance today, associate choreographers Crystal Pite, Marcos Morau and Marco Goecke return with works that continue to thrill the audience. This season also strengthens NDT’s collaborations with choreographers acclaimed world wide, including Gabriela Carrizo, Jiří Kylián, Hofesh Shechter, Christos Papadopoulos, Johan Inger, Edward Clug and Noé Soulier. Each programme unfolds with a bold artistic vision, revealing the expressive range and versatility of the extraordinary NDT 1 and NDT 2 dancers; from innovative world premieres, to works that continue to evolve with a new generation. Throughout, there is an invitation to connect and a space for shared reflection on the world and our place within it.
