The Hague invests in new creative business complex De Titaan

Published

The Municipality of The Hague is investing in the construction of a new creative business complex for scale-ups: De Titaan. Scale-ups are companies that grow firmly after their start-up phase. The focus is mainly on companies that work on innovations for a better world. De Titaan is located directly next to the Caballero Fabriek and in the Binckhaven.

Binckhaven: a unique spot in The Hague

The Binckhaven has become the start-up hub of The Hague in recent years, with the Caballero Fabriek as its icon. 200 creative companies can be found here at the Caballero Fabriek. In 2018, the municipality opened Apollo14 in the Binckhaven, as a solution to the urgent need for start-up housing. The innovative company Q42 established its headquarters in Apollo14. Together with De Besturing, Secrid, Greenfox and brewery Kompaan, these companies make the Binckhaven a dynamic area with a unique character. De Titaan is the final piece of this start-up hub in The Hague.

De Titaan will be located at Saturnusstraat 95. Architectural firm Braaksma & Roos has come up with a renovation plan which aims for a sustainable building that is going to be enlarged by one storey. The total lettable area is 11,205 m2 and creates room for almost 70 companies and more than 350 jobs. The finalisation of de Titaan is planned for 2021.
