Lights in the night

As days are getting shorter, we try to bring light into the darkness – literally. As soon as Christmas comes along, you will spot lots of illuminated canal bridges and trees in gardens throughout the country. But not only Christmas lights light up the streets in The Hague region, also two amazing events in The Hague and Delft revolve around beautiful lights. 

The Hague HighLights

In The Hague, there is The Hague HighLights which takes place in November and December. Gaze at the breathtaking lightshows that will light up the sky of The Hague. Admire the video projections on the Binnenhof and the Kurhaus (November 8 – December 8), come to Scheveningen Light Air Show (December 1), take part in the Scheveningen Light Walk (December 8) or experience Madurodam in a different light (December 27 – 30). An unforgettable party at the sea!

Delft The Night of Lights

The Night of Lights covers Delft in a warm glow on December 11. During this traditional festival, thousands of lights and torches give the historical city centre a fairytale-like allure. You will be enchanted by the floating fire baskets, flaming torches along the water's edge, sparkling canals, and multicoloured canalside buildings. And of course, don't forget to try the delicious delicacies and a warm glass of glühwein!
