New measures at The Hague International Centre to contain the spread of coronavirus

Published

Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Minister for Medical Care Bruno Bruins announced new measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday, 12 March. These measures are also in effect for the Municipality of The Hague and The Hague International Centre.

Following advice from the Government of the Netherlands and National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), which stipulates cancellation of gatherings of more than 100 people and limitation of social contact, we will implement the following:

  • Cancelling our events, CONNECT – Education and Childcare and Welcome to The Hague – March, on 26 March 2020.
  • Scaling down available personnel at our counters to reduce social contact. The centre will remain open as usual and all confirmed appointments will take place as planned, however we advise visitors to limit their visits to the centre and to send their questions via email.

New developments with regards to operations at The Hague International Centre will be updated here. For other questions, please email internationalcentre@denhaag.nl
