The Netherlands has a very high rate of recycling its waste, and various municipalities put great efforts towards making sure that all household waste can be dealth with in an environmental manner.
As part of this, you can now download a waste calendar for your specific address. This will include dates when (for example) paper collections, glass collections, and even christmas tree collections occur.

The website also contains useful information about when to put out your rubbish, and other municipal waste services.
