We are celebrating 15 years of The Hague International Centre

Published

This year marks a special milestone — 15 years of supporting and connecting internationals to The Hague region.

The Hague, home to over 200 international organisations including the International Court of Justice, OPCW, the International Criminal Court, NATO and Europol, is a vibrant international city, where thousands of people from around the world work each day to build a better, safer, and more just world.

Since 2010, The Hague International Centre has been a vital resource for international newcomers, offering guidance and support to help them settle into life in The Hague region. Over the past 15 years, the Centre has welcomed more than 60.000 internationals from all walks of life, each bringing unique perspectives and enriching the city’s vibrant international community.

To celebrate this special milestone, we’re launching a campaign that shines a spotlight on the people who make The Hague’s international community so vibrant. At the heart of the campaign are personal stories of connection, support, and belonging—shared by international residents who now call The Hague home. Explore these inspiring stories and discover the people who help make The Hague a true home away from home. And follow us on social media for more inspiring stories and videos from The Hague’s international community! Find us on Instagram (@thehagueinternational), Facebook (@thehagueinternational), and LinkedIn (The Hague International Centre).

These inspiring stories will also be featured in a special exhibition at The Atrium of The Hague City Hall, running from 8 to 24 October 2025. The exhibition highlights the valuable contributions of internationals to our city, many of whom are now helping others feel welcome in their new home. Be sure to stop by and experience the stories that make The Hague truly international.
