Ten years ago, your guide to The Hague’s coolest hidden gems was born. The founders Marlies and Barbara explain: ''The result of countless evenings spent having drinks and brainstorming. Our love for The Hague and our passion for discovering new places formed the solid foundation for 'Haagse Schatten'. Today it represents a collection of unique, distinctive, small-scale local businesses and entrepreneurs who deserve to be discovered.''
Haagse Schatten is a platform where you will find places in The Hague that are worth taking a detour for, and secretly, the kind of places you’d rather keep to yourself. With the Haagse Schatten Gift Card, you offer a unique gift to your beloved ones, and enable them to discover another side of The Hague. Haagse Schatten connects curious explorers with authentic local businesses, share their finds on a dedicated treasure map, and keep you updated on the city’s latest gems. Marlies and Barbara continue: ''Once we had 20 The Hague 'treasures' on board, we officially launched our website www.haagseschatten.nl, and our Facebook page was up and running as well. Not long after, we introduced the Haagse Schatten gift card. Fast forward to today, and we’ve grown bigger and more professional, but no less personal or passionate. With two extra creative women now taking care of our social media and everything happening around our treasures, we can proudly say that we now count more than 80 'treasures'. We’re still coming up with new plans all the time, and this year we realised just how incredibly wonderful this little adventure of ours really is. Here’s to the next 10!''
