Free Public Transport for children
Planning to explore the city with your little ones? Don't miss out on the Kids voor Niks initiative! Children aged 4 to 11 who are registered in The Hague can travel for free on all HTM trams and buses until the end of 2026. Parents or guardians can easily apply for a special OV-chipkaart that gives kids the freedom to discover the city safely and independently.

Outdoor Valley Summer Camp (in Dutch)
For children aged 8 - 17 years
Location: Outdoor Valley (close to Rotterdam)
When: Starting from 20 July
Children and youths will learn knot tying, climbing, survival, archery, canoeing and much more. It promises to be an adventurous week to remember!
Playball Netherlands
For children aged 3 - 9 years
Location: The Hague and Scheveningen
Children can participate in a range of instructor-led sports such as tennis, hockey, cricket, football, rugby, athletics, basketball, baseball and volleyball.
Snowworld Summer Snow Camp
For children aged 6 - 16 years
Location: Zoetermeer
When: from 6 July – 24 August
Children will learn to ski or snowboard in this fun five-day camp that is also filled with other exciting snow activities! This camp is suitable for children with or without experience on the slopes.
Amforça Sports Kidsclub BSO Den Haag
For children aged 4 - 16 years
Location: The Hague
When: July-August
At Amforça, daycare programs are structured to provide a well-rounded experience that caters to both local and international families. They offer several sports camps throughout the year, from football and basketball to more general sports & fun camps.
Surf and sailing camps
Catamaran Sailing Camp
For children aged 10 - 18 years
Location: Zeehelden at the Wassenaarse Slag
When: 20 July – 28 August
Campers will learn everything about sailing a catamaran and may get a ‘Zeehelden’ diploma at the end of the week. There will be other activities planned throughout the week such as body boarding, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and games!
Dreams Surf School (in Dutch)
For children aged 6 – 10 years and 11 – 15 years
Location: Ter Heijde
When: 20 July – 28 August
Children will learn to surf in small groups in the morning. There will also be other water or beach activities in the afternoon such as power kiting, longboarding in the dunes, freerunning, and graffiti workshops!
Hart Beach Quicksilver Surf camps
For children aged 6 - 12 years and 12 - 16 years
Location: Hart Beach Scheveningen
When: July - September
Imagine: a week of outdoor play, making new friends, and conquering the North Sea every day! For over 25 years, Hart Beach Surf club has been transforming school holidays into one big adventure. They don't just surf; but also paddleboard, longboard along the boulevard, and play many more beach games.
