Additional measures at The Hague International Centre

Additional measures at The Hague International Centre

Following stricter measures to manage the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) announced by the Dutch cabinet on 23 March, The Hague International Centre will be revising our services (effective till 6 April) as follows:

Walk-ins and IND services

  • The centre will be closed to walk-in visitors. Only confirmed appointments for registrations will proceed as planned.
  • IND services at the centre will be suspended. We will not be able to issue residence permits or take biometrics. For replacement of residence permits please contact IND directly, they will assess urgent requests on a case-by-case basis.
  • New appointments in combination with Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) services will no longer be accepted.
  • For non-EU staff, please bring the confirmation letter from IND to your appointment as proof of legal residence in the Netherlands.

Municipal Registration (BSN)

  • Requests for deregistration, reporting a move, and extracts; please do so via the Municipality of The Hague, and the CBR-website for medical statements.
  • We have scaled down available personnel at the counters to reduce social contact. There may be a longer wait for the next available appointment for municipal registrations.
  • We will only register internationals with passports – not certificates – to limit the duration of the appointment. Internationals will have to make an appointment to submit certificates at The Hague International Centre or the municipal office when regular services are reinstated.
  • Appointments for municipal registrations are still available. In our appointment tool please pick the option to collect your residence permit elsewhere.

  • ACCESS will not be available to answer your questions at the centre. Please send your questions to:
  • The following events have been cancelled:
    - CONNECT – Education and Childcare, 26 March
    - Welcome to The Hague – March, 26 March
    - The Hague Connect – Breakfast with Partners, 7 April
