Report your change of address

Have you found a new home during your stay in the Netherlands? You will need to inform the municipality of your change of address within 5 days of moving. Many government authorities are automatically notified of your change of address once you reported your move to the municipality. If you do not do this, you might be fined. Your mail will be send to the wrong address. If your address is registered incorrectly, it could also affect your benefits and taxes.

Moving within the same municipality

You only need to inform your municipality of your new address. Usually, this can be done online (with your DigiD), in writing or in person at a municipal counter.

If you are registered at The Hague International Centre and are moving within The Hague, you can report your change of adress at The Hague International Centre. Please fill out this address registration form by email to internationalcentre@denhaag.nl together with:

  • a copy of the passports of all persons mentioned on this form.
  • a copy of the signed rental or sale contract or the permission to register on a residential address.

Moving to another municipality

You only need to report the move to your new municipality. Usually, this can be done online (with your DigiD), in writing or in person at a municipal counter.

If you are registered at The Hague International Centre are going to move to The Hague, you can report your change of adress at The Hague International Centre. Please fill out this address registration form by email to internationalcentre@denhaag.nl together with:

  • a copy of the passports of all persons mentioned on this form.
  • a copy of the signed rental or sale contract or the permission to register on a residential address.
